Terrarium

Within our home we have several varieties of house plants, but I must confess that the terrarium which sits on my copper console table might be one of my favorites. Why? Well first off, the boys and I planted in as a school project in early September. We collected some small plants, rocks and even moss from the forest. The boys scooped some rocks from the side of the driveway and we found some left-over potting soil in the shop, lucky for me we even had some charcoal chips from an earlier project. Since H. Potter has been around longer than the boys, they have both been to enough photo shoots to figure out how to place moss and rocks. The boys love it because it’s their creation and I love it because it just sits there happily, hardly requiring any care. It’s been watered about 3 times since September and yes the plants are still thriving, terrariums are amazing eco-systems.
